This Privacy Policy explains what information Requesting Prayer ("we," "us," "the site") collects when you use requestingprayer.com, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information you provide

Prayer requests and responses. Anything you type or record into the site, including an optional display name. You can post anonymously — we do not require a real name.
Email address. If you choose to sign in, we collect your email address to send you a one-time sign-in link ("magic link"). We do not use it for anything else and never sell or share it.
Voice recordings. If you record a voice prayer or response instead of typing, the audio file is stored so it can be played back on the site.
Payment information. If you choose to make a donation, your payment details are collected and processed directly by our payment processor, Stripe. We do not receive or store your card number.

Information collected automatically

IP address. Used, in hashed (not stored in plain form) format, to apply basic safeguards such as preventing the same visitor from clicking "I prayed" on a post repeatedly, and to limit automated abuse of the site.
General location (country). Shown alongside a post so other visitors can see roughly where a prayer request is coming from. We do not collect or display precise location data.

How we use your information

To operate the core features of the site: posting prayer requests, responding to others, and signing in.
To keep the site safe from spam and abuse (rate limiting, moderation).
To process donations, if you choose to make one.
To send you a sign-in link when you request one. We do not send marketing email.

What's public

Prayer requests and responses you post are public by design — that's the purpose of the site. If you post anonymously, your display name and email are not shown publicly. If you sign in and choose to post under your name, that name is visible to other visitors.

Sharing with third parties

We do not sell your information. We share information only with the service providers needed to run the site:

Stripe, to process donations (if you choose to donate).
Our hosting provider, to store site data and files.

We may also disclose information if required to do so by law.

Data retention

Prayer requests and responses remain on the site unless removed by moderation or by you. You can request that your account and associated data be deleted by contacting us (see below).

Your choices

You can post anonymously at any time — signing in is never required to post.
You can sign out at any time from the account menu.
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data by contacting us.

Children's privacy

Requesting Prayer is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent changes.
